Nablus, ALRAY – Four Palestinians were injured on Monday during clashes with Israeli occupation forces (IOF) who were providing cover for extremist Jewish settlers as they broke into Joseph’s Tomb, to the east of the city of Nablus in the West Bank, according to media sources.

A number of Israeli military jeeps broke into the eastern area of the city to provide protection for the settlers, provoking clashes with local Palestinian residents, the sources reported.

Medical sources said that four people were reported injured from rubber bullets, while 20 others suffered from suffocation due to inhaling tear gas.

Earlier in the past days, a number of Israeli pages called on Israeli settlers to storm the Joseph's Tomb, on the pretext of performing their religious rituals in the celebration of "Hanukkah".
