Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY - Israeli extremist settlers broke Monday morning into the courtyards of the al-Aqsa Mosque Compound via the Mughrabi Gate, and carried out provocative tours inside the mosque.

Public relations and media official at the occupied Jerusalem’s Islamic Awqaf, Feras al-Debs stated that some 143 settlers stormed the mosque in groups and under full protection by the Israeli Occupation police.

Al-Debs pointed out that the settlers roamed the courtyards of the mosque and received explanations on the so-called “Temple Mount”.

He added that the settlers tried to perform Talmudic rituals particularly in the eastern part of the mosque, indicating that worshipers and guards of the mosque defended it and hampered the settlers from roaming it freely.

The al-Aqsa Mosque Compound exposes on a daily basis to the storming of the Israeli settlers, at which they perform Talmudic Rituals and discrete its sanctity.

The Israeli Occupation seeks through its storming to the al-Aqsa to devout temporal and special division of the mosque and Judaize the occupied Palestinian city of Jerusalem.

In a related context, al-Quds Center for Palestinian and Israeli Studies reported that the number of the Israeli settlers that broke into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound during the past November has multiplied.

The center added that the number of settlers who broke into the mosque reached 2020 during the past November, including IOF forces and the so-called “students of the Temple.”
