IPS of Megiddo isolates Palestinian prisoner for two years

Ramallah, ALRAY - The commission of detainees and ex-detainees said on Tuesday that the Israeli prison service (IPS) of Megiddo continued to isolate the detainee Mohammed Yusuf al-Shinawi, 23, in solitary confinement cell] under difficult and harsh conditions.



In a statement, the commission explained that al-Shinawi had been confined to solitary confinement cell in the section (12) of "Megiddo ", by the decision of the department “the Bureau of the occupation Prisons", on the pretext that he poses a "danger to Israel's security".

 He is sentenced to life imprisonment and 20 years for resisting occupation.



Al-Shinawi has been confined to isolation cells since March 2017, two months after his arrest, and the impeachment decision is renewed every six months, and his final impeachment decision is due to expire in September.
