Gaza, ALRAY- The Islamic Resistance Movement of Hamas refuted Tuesday the claims of Israeli media that a six-month ceasefire, brokered by Egypt, reached between Palestinian factions and Israel.

Hamas stressed in a statement that the recent ceasefire reached between Palestinian factions and Israel in return of its commitment to implement all understandings.

Hebrew channel 2 stated that it has revealed a claimed agreement of a half-year of ceasefire has reached between Palestinian factions and Israel.

The channel claimed that the agreement is brokered by Egypt and due to great efforts of UN envoy. It claimed that the agreement stated to suspend the weekly demonstrations along the security fence east Gaza and to keep a buffer zoon of  300 meters from the fence and to cease fire completely, in addition to stop maritime mobility.

Regarding Israeli commitments it revealed that Israel pledged to expand the fishing area to 15 miles, allow the entry of medicines and civilian aid, negotiate electricity, crossings, health and funds matters, as well as an active role of the United Nations in the operating programs in the sector.

The channel claimed that the agreement will last for six months. If the two sides succeed in maintaining calm, they will begin to consider the more complex issues of soldiers and Israelis held in Gaza.
