Nablus, ALRAY - Asra Media Office said on Tuesday that health condition of Palestinian prisoner cancer patient Bassam Al-Sayeh has seriously deteriorated, and as a result he was taken to intensive care unit (ICU).
In its statement, the office noted that prisoner Al-Sayeh is experiencing a very serious health condition, as he has been suffering from blood and bone cancers for years besides chronic heart problems.
Recently, Al-Sayeh was transferred to Afula Medical Center, after having his health got worse, since he cannot have his food and experiences syncopal episodes.
The office added that the condition of the prisoner Al-Sayeh is one of the most serious medical conditions inside Israeli prisons.
Al-Sayeh, who is a resident of the city of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, was detained on October 8, 2015 and given two life sentences and 30 years inside Israeli prisons.
According to Palestinian figures, about 5,700 Palestinians, including 48 women and 250 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
