IOF detains 23 Palestinians in raids to WB

Occupied West Bank, ALRAY- The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained at daybreak of Monday 23 Palestinian citizens during multiple raids across different districts of the occupied West Bank towns and cities.


Israeli media alleged that the detainees are wanted by the Israeli intelligence, and were transferred to an unknown place for interrogation.


In Nablus, local sources reported that the IOF two youths named Saad Ahed Adeli, and Nassar Adeli, after raiding on their houses in the city.


In Ramallah, the IOF detained 15 citizens, including ex-prisoners, and ransacked dozens of houses.


Local sources reported that the IOF raided the town of Bayt Rima, northwest of the city, and detained ex-prisoner Jacob Rimawi, after raiding on and ransacking his house, and detained Hammam Rimawi as well, and took both of them to an unknown place.


In the same context, the IOF broke into the town of Sinjil, north of the city, and detained Hussein Shabana after raiding on his house.


In Silwad town, the IOF broke into a number of houses, ransacked them, and detained five citizens named as Muhammad Ayyad, Fakhry Hamed, Muhammad Raed Hamed, Jameel Hamed, and Muhammad Musa Hamed.


As of Al-Bireh, the IOF detained ex-prisoner Bara al-Qadi following raiding his house, while detained Awad Abu Ain from his house.


In Kafr Malik town, east of the city, the IOF detained Luqman Hamayel, following raiding his house, and detained Muhammad al-Ali and Mahmoud Ladadwa, after raiding on the village of Al-Mazra'a al-Qibliya, north of the city.

Also, the IOF detained Muntaser Qadah from his house in Shuqba town, west of the city, and detained Isam Abu Alia from al-Mughayyir village, north of the city.

In Hebron, the IOF detained Jihad Faqousa, after raiding on and ransacking his house in the town of Dura.

In Talkarem, the IOF broke into the towns of Qaffin and 'Illar, north of the city, and questioned a number of citizens, after raiding on their houses.

Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
