Nablus, ALRAY - Dozens of olive trees in the town of Burin, south of the city of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, were set on fire on Tuesday by illegal Israeli settlers.

Palestinian Authority official in charge of monitoring settlement activity in the northern West Bank Ghassan Douglas said that the settlers set ablaze olive fields located in the area between the towns of Burin and Huwara, burning at least 80 trees.

The olive harvest season, which has just started, is one of the most important for thousands of Palestinians in the occupied territories whose income depends heavily on the success of this season.
