Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY - Hundreds of extremist Israeli settlers broke on early morning of Sunday into the courtyards of al-Aqsa Mosque Compound via the Moroccan Gate, heavily protected by Israeli forces.


Jerusalemite sources reported that hundreds of settlers along with rabbis stormed the mosque, provokingly toured its courtyards, and received explanations on the alleged “Temple Mount”.


The sources added that worshipers, educational students, and guards of the al-Aqsa mosque who were present there defended it by chants and Takbeer (saying Allah Akbar), and hampered the settlers from roaming it freely.


Jewish organizations on Saturday renewed its calls on Jews to widely storm the courtyards of al-Aqsa Mosque on the seventh day of the Jewish holiday of Sukkotto perform Talmudic rituals.


for its part, Jerusalem’s Islamic Endowments Department said that over 2700 settlers have broken into al-Aqsa since the start of Sukkot.


in the same context, Wadi Helwa Information Center reported in a statement that 2408 settlers and Jewish students broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound during last September.


It is noteworthy that the al-Aqsa mosque Compound exposes on a daily basis to the storming of the Israeli settlers, at which they perform Talmudic rituals and discrete its sanctity.
