Occupied WB, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained at daybreak of Monday nine Palestinian citizens during wide-scale campaign of raids and arrests across multiple districts of the occupied West Bank towns and cities.
Local sources reported that the IOF broke into Jenin camp and detained son of the prisoner Qais Jabareen after raiding on and ransacking his house, using police dogs.
The sources said that the IOF forces held Qais’s wife in a room, having her suffered from fear and panic, indicating that the three sons of Qais: Qassam, Adham, and Qasam are detained at Israeli jails.
As a result, the sources added, confrontations have been erupted between Palestinian youths and the IOF forces, during which the forces fired tear gas canisters and live and rubber-coated steel bullets towards the youths. There were no reports of injuries.
As of the city of Bethlehem, the IOF forces detained youths Hamza al-Kamel, 18, and Muhammad al-Harimi, 18, after raiding on and ransacking the houses of their families in Wadi Shaheen area in the middle of the city.
Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
