Gaza, ALRAY - A new batch of the families of the Gaza Strip’s prisoners headed on Monday at dawn to visit their children in Israeli jails via the Beit Hanoun/Erez crossing, north of the beleaguered Gaza Strip.

International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) reported that 10 citizens departed the Gaza Strip to visit their children in the Israeli jail of Nafha.

According to Palestinian figures, about 5,700 Palestinians, including 38 women and 250 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails. Al least 222 Palestinian prisoners died in jails as a result of Israel’s deliberate policy of medical negligence.
