Occupied WB, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) waged on Sunday a wide-scale campaign of raids and detentions across multiple districts of the occupied West Bank towns and cities.

Local sources reported that the IOF detained five ex-prisoners from the town of Beit Fajjar, south of the city of Bethlehem, named as Shaher Direya, Awny Taqatqa, Ahmad Thawabta, Yusuf Direya, and Raghib Direya, after raiding on their houses and ransacking them.

The sources added that the IOF detained four youths from Qalqilya identified as Amro Haniyya, Nidal Saleem, Mansour Salim, and Ali Sweidan, after breaking into the city’s Azzun town.

The sources added that the IOF broke into al-Tira neighborhood in Ramallah, and stationed in the surroundings of the Nelson Mandela Square, as they broke into Al-Bireh’s neighborhood of al-Balou, where fierce confrontations erupted between Palestinian youths and the IOF.

Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
