Ramallah, ALRAY - Dozens of illegal Israeli settlers assaulted last night a number of Palestinian shepherds in al-Mughayyir village, northeast of the city of Ramallah.
Local sources said that dozens of extremist settlers attacked Palestinian shepherds, while they were grazing their livestock east of the city, with sticks which resulted in the injury of five shepherds with fractures and bruises.
The sources added that the attack resulted in the injury of five shepherds with fractures and bruises, indicating that three of them were hospitalized for treatment.
The sources pointed out that the Israeli army deliberately erected a military checkpoint at the entrance to the village so as to hinders the movement of Palestinians.
Israeli settlers and soldiers often prevent Palestinian shepherds from herding in the open pastures of the occupied West Bank in order to force them to abandon the area.
Al-Mughayyir village is frequently subjected to Israeli settlers and soldiers’ attacks and violations, where the Palestinians are prevented from building on around 80 percent of the village’s land on the pretext of being fallen in area C of the occupied West Bank.
