Occupied WB, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained on Wednesday at dawn a number of Palestinian citizens, including an official from the Ministry of Education, during multiple raids across the occupied West Bank towns and cities.
Local sources reported that the IOF detained father of the martyr Elias Yassin from the town of Biddya, west of the northern occupied West Bank city of Salfit.
The sources added that a large force of Israeli soldiers detained the Director General of Salfit’s Education Directorate Saleh Yassin, after breaking into hi house and ransacking it.
In northern occupied West Bank, the IOF forces detained citizens Muhammad Shafoot and Ziad Farraga, after breaking into and ransacking their houses in Dheisheh Refugee Camp to the southeast of the city of Bethlehem.
In addition, the occupation forces detained citizen Hamza Qatina, after storming and ransacking his house in Sarra village, south of the city of Hebron.
Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
