Gaza, ALRAY - Following two days of Israeli hostility against Gaza Strip, Israel has imposed on Monday a fresh host of sanctions on the coastal enclave, including the closure of all border crossings and the prohibition of fishing in its waters till further notice, despite reaching a ceasefire agreement.
The Kerem Shalom crossing will be closed except for the transport of humanitarian aid and the Erez crossing will be closed except for exceptional humanitarian cases. In addition, the fishing space will be completely reduced
Israeli occupation authority announced Tuesday opening Erez crossing partially for humanitarian cases, and allowing the entry of all arrivals.
It indicated that the crossing will receive the sick cases, the "48" Palestinians and the foreign coordinated figures, and that will be only from 09:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
Hebrew channel 13, reported that following security consultation, Israeli cabinet decided to close all crossings with Gaza Strip until further notice as well as banning the fishing off Gaza coast.
Administration committee for crossing and border informed the companies of private sector of closing the Kerem Shalom crossing on Tuesday, until further notice of all goods, excluding fuels and medicines.
The military correspondent of Hebrew "Wala News" website, Amir Boukhboot stated that Kerem Shalom crossing will be opened for the entry of 20 fuel trucks into Gaza for several hours only.
Zakaria Bakr, general coordinator of the committees of Palestinian fishermen, said that they were officially informed of closing the sea from 6:00 am on Tuesday till further notice.
He pointed out that closing the sea affects about 4.000 fishermen who depends on fishing, especially after a serious of air depression.
