Gaza, ALRAY - Palestinian undersecretary of Foreign Affairs ministry in Gaza Ghazi Hamad stated that Egypt took a decision to lessen Gaza siege through opening Rafah crossing repeatedly, and establishing a free-trade zone in.
"Egypt realizes that its national obligations demand lessening Gaza siege; Egypt is dealing with developments in the Gaza Strip and the siege imposed by the Israeli occupation with caution and much sensitivity", he said in a statement to ALRAY on Tuesday.
Hamad stressed that Egypt will help decrease the economic and humanitarian suffering of the Gazans but in away that does not affect its own benefits.
He denied news about a sooner meeting between Palestinian and Egyptian leaderships regarding this issue.
Egypt opened Rafah crossing several times recently as a positive step and gestureof good will towards the Gaza Strip.
