Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY – Steven Dujarek, the spokesman of the UN Secretary General, warned that the international aid maybe cut on hundreds of Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip due to the financial shortage.

In a conference held in the UN headquarters in New York, Dujarek said that if the financial shortage lasted until next July, aid would be cut on 150.000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

He added that the cut of the aid would result in a humanitarian crisis, and would affect mostly the severely poor families.

According to the International Aid Program, $6.6 million are required to cover the needs of the Palestinians in the next 3 months.
