Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY – The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) bulldozers demolished Monday morning a residential building for Mutawar family in Zaeem town, east of Jerusalem, under the pretext of "building without a permit."
An eyewitness reported that the IOF alongside with military bulldozers raided the town and imposed a comprehensive siege on the demolition area; as they stormed the residential building belonging to the Palestinian, Mahdi Mutawar, and demolished the second floor; however, the first floor was destroyed, and it is not fit for habitation again.
Mutawar said that they tried to grant a permit for building, yet the Israeli occupation municipality rejected that.
He mentioned that the building of 300 square meters shelders 23 people, most of them are children.
The Israeli authorities consider Al-Zaeem town's lands as confiscated in favor of establishing the settlement plan, dubbed as (E1); this aims at annexing "Maale Adumim" settlement to Jerusalem by expropriating the lands and expelling the Palestinians, especially the Bedouin there.
