West Bank, ALRAY - Israeli occupation authorities expropriated a land owned by Palestinians in the village of Dier Nezam North West Ramallah, under security pretexts.
The former head of the village council Abdul Nasser al-Tamimi said that the Israeli occupation informed the Palestinian liaison office that they will expropriate the land which located near the "Helmish" settlement of 4.7 dunums, for security and military purposes.
Al-Tamimi stressed that the land is owned by the Palestinians Ahmad Al-Tamimi and Attalah al-Tamimi , explaining that the total area of the land is 9 dunums, refuting the claims of Israeli occupation authorities.
He confirmed that the land is located near Helmish settlement at the cross roads of Nabee Salah village.
He noted that the Israeli occupation authorities allowed Palestinians the access to their lands in Olive harvest season, but the Israeli authorities seeks to size more Palestinian lands for expanding its settlements projects.
A month ago Israeli forces razed Palestinian land and erected caravans for expanding the settlement after uprooting the olive trees besides the eastern side of the settlement, in response to the attack that took place before.
