Beirut, ALRAY – The Israeli occupation authorities demolished 15 homes, residential and commercial facilities in Jerusalem, and issued 163 demolition orders, Jerusalem International Foundation said.
Between 1967 and 2013, Israeli authorities demolished around 4000 homes, leading to displace around 30000 Jerusalemites, causing economic losses of about $ 9 billion, the foundation explained in “Jerusalem Harvest” report.
The Israeli claims for demolition varied between %48 of military demolition, %6 for punitive demolition, %20 administrative demolition, %24 of unknown reasons.
The majority of Jerusalemites resort to build without permits, as a result of not giving them construction permit by Israeli occupation for political and demographic reasons.
In the settlement route, the report confirmed that Higher Planning Council approved of the so-called "Israeli Civil Administration" of the construction of 1281 settlement units in the city, including 581 units in Ma'aleh Adumim, 500 units in the Ramat Shlomo and 200 in Ramot.
Additionally, Israeli municipality in Jerusalem approved giving permits to build 176 settlement unit in Jabal Al-Mukabber neighborhood, to become the largest settlement outpost in the heart of Palestinian neighborhoods of the city.
During last month, Israeli occupation focused on targeting Morabteen and worshipped in Al-Aqsa mosques, within an ongoing policy to expel its legends, at the top comes Sheikh Raed Salah, who was tried by Haifa Magistrate Court and indefinitely extended his detention, according to the report.
The report pointed out that the occupation stressed measures against women in Al-Aqsa mosque, as they arrested the Jerusalemite Hanadi Halawani, also Sheikh Raed Fathi and Mosa Al-Basit when they left the mosque on 28 October, while released Khadija Khois after arrest for more than two weeks, with imposing house arrest and deportation away of Al-Aqsa for one month and travel ban for six months.
The number of Jerusalemites arrested in October amounted to about 90 detainees from different age groups, especially children, the report pointed out.
About 70 points of confrontation with the IOF took place in Jerusalem, in several areas in the city, especially Al-Tur, Silwan, Issawiya and Abu Dis, resulting in 7 casualties among the Israeli soldiers and settlers, throwing 11 Molotov cocktails and 4 explosive devices.
