Istanbul, ALRAY -- A number of members of Association of International Youth Activists demonstrated on Monday in front of the Israeli consulate in the Turkish city of Istanbul, in protest against the continued detention of the head of the Islamic Movement in the Palestinian territories, Sheikh Raed Salah.
The demonstrators raised pictures of Sheikh Salah, and placed a cement room of foursquare meters and weigh 10 tons in front of the consulate, to indicate the place of Sheikh Salah’s detention in Israeli prisons, according to the agency "Anatolia".
“The Israeli authorities continue to arrest Salah without any legal justification," head of the organization, Arkan Halogi, said in a press statement.
On 15, August, Israeli occupation forces arrested Sheikh Salah from his home in Umm al-Fahm city. He was taken to the interrogation center, the his detention was subsequently extended several times and decided to keep his detained until the proceedings against him were completed
