Gaza, ALRAY - Israeli authorities continued the closure of the Beit Hanoun/Erez crossing with the Gaza Strip for the eleventh consecutive day on Monday, affecting thousands of workers and patients.

The General Authority for Crossings and Borders had announced that the Beit Hanoun crossing would be completely closed on Sunday and Monday, September 24-25, due to "Jewish holidays."

Over the past period, Israeli authorities have repeatedly shut down the Beit Hanoun crossing, impacting hundreds of workers, as part of their policy of collective punishment against Gaza residents. This action is allegedly in response to protests in the vicinity of the security fence, expressing solidarity with Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian prisoners.
