West Bank, ALRAY – The Israeli occupation army has shot dead seven Palestinian citizens, including a child, and injured dozens more in the occupied West Bank over the past 24 hours.

Medical sources reported that Israeli occupation forces fatally shot Ahmad al-Awawdeh, 19, from Dura town in Hebron, near Deir Sharaf town, west of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank early Sunday morning.

On Saturday evening the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that Mohammed Khamis, 18, died of the wounds that he sustained after being shot by the Israeli occupation army at the entrance to Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron.

Dozens of local citizens were also hit by rubber-coated metal bullets and several more suffered breathing difficulties after inhaling tear gas fired by Israeli occupation soldiers.  

Meanwhile, Yousef Idris, 19, succumbed to his serious injuries after being shot in the chest by Israeli occupation forces in central Hebron, according to Yousef Takrouri, the deputy director of al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron.

Earlier on Saturday, the Israeli occupation army shot dead 13-year-old Ahmad Rabi at the northern entrance to Qalqiliya in the northern occupied West Bank.

On the same day, Amr Abed, from Beitunia town in western Ramallah, died of the critical wounds that he suffered after being shot in the head at the northern entrance to Al-Bireh in the central occupied West Bank.

Karam al-Aidi, 22, succumbed to his injuries after being shot in the head by Israeli occupation forces. 

Earlier that day, Mohammad Jarboua, 24, from Beitunia town, died of his wounds sustained after being shot by Israeli occupation forces near Al-Lubban al-Gharbi village, west of Ramallah.

The Israeli occupation army routinely conducts raids and incursions into the towns and villages of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.

The Israeli occupation army and colonial settlers have killed at least 195 Palestinian citizens in occupied the West Bank and Jerusalem.

In the meantime, the Israeli occupation army launched an all-out assault against the besieged Gaza Strip, killing at least 313 Palestinian citizens, mostly women and children, and injuring around 1,990 more since the early hours of Saturday morning.

This year is on track to become one of the bloodiest for the Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank. It has already surpassed 2022 as the deadliest year for the Palestinian people since the UN began recording in 2005.
