Director General of Crossings and Borders in Gaza, Maher Abu Sabha confirmed on Monday that Rafah Crossing will be opened for three consecutive days this week.
He said in a statement to ALRAY,” The crossing scheduled to open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in front of passengers in both directions from 9:00am until 3:00pm.”
This came after ten days of closure by the Egyptian authorities without reasons.
The Palestinian government in Gaza demanded the Egyptian side on Sunday to open the Rafah Crossing in front of Gaza arrivals and departures.
It stresses that the closure of the crossing aggravates the humanitarian situation in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Spokesperson of the Palestinian government, Ihab al-Ghusein pointed out that the continuousclosure of the crossing leads to a complete deterioration of all humanitarian sectors necessary for the continuation of life in Gaza.
