Gaza, ALRAY - Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh called the US ex-president Jimmy Carter center to oversee the implementation procedures of the upcoming Palestinian elections.
On a phone call Monday, Haniyeh informed Carter on the Palestinian reconciliation pact , signed by the two main rival Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah.
He also called Carter to activate the role of American and western departments in backing the Palestinian national reconciliation up to be achieved, praising Carter's hard efforts he made for achieving the reconciliation and ending the Palestinian internal division.
Carter expressed his happiness with this agreement , emphasizing that he will do his best and communicate with all interested parties to ensure implementing the reconciliation pact.
He told Haniey that it is for his pleasure to appoint his center to monitor the upcoming Palestinian elections.
