Jerusalem, ALRAY - United Nations and World Health Organization condemned the Israeli Knesset recent approval of force-feeding law of the Palestinian hunger-striker prisoners in Israeli occupation jails.

According to a press release issued by the representations of these organizations on Sunday, stated that " hunger strike is a non-violent way of protest, as well as it is a fundamental right of each detainee or prisoner."

"It is possible to use force-feeding only in exceptional cases, when the hunger striker suffers from a psychological disorder, not when he expresses a political or other protest ", the press release stated.

Meanwhile, the commission of ethics at "Soroka" hospital in Beersheba allowed the doctors to subject the Palestinian administrative detainee Mohammed Allan, who is on a hunger strike for 55 days, to the medical check, in order to make a decision about forcibly fed or not.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has warned that Allan's life at risk.
