Jerusalem, ALRAY- Israeli Settlers took over a new residential building in "Batn Al-Hawa" neighborhood south of the town of Silwan south of Al-Aqsa mosque, and claimed that they owned the house.

Member of the organizing committee in Silwan, Kayed Rugby, stated that a group of settlers guarded by the Israeli police stormed a house belonged to Jihad Sarhan in "Batn Al-Hawa" neighborhood, broke the door of the house and took over it.

Violent clashes erupted during taking over the home, where Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired sound and gas bombs and rubber bullets what resulted suffocation and injuries cases.

In turn, Amjad Abu Asab, head of prisoners' families committee reported that the IOF detained two young men, Samah Sarhan,22, and Maher Sarhan,16, when they took over the home of Sarhan family in Silwan.

In the same context, "Ateret Cohanim" settlement association took over, last Thursday, on a new residential building in the middle lane in " Batn Al-Hawa" neighborhood in the town of Silwan, claiming that it was sold to them by its owner.

The building consisted of 12 apartments, distributed on five floors. Four floors were taken over, while a tenant refused to leave his home.
