Gaza, ALRAY - Head of Security Affairs Sector in Gaza General Tawfiq Abu Naim said Saturday that the Palestinian security services tightened the security measures along the southern border with Egypt in wake of the security events in Sinai.
He explained in a statement for the ministry of internal affairs that they have tightened the security measures along the border with Egypt since the attack on the Egyptian army Friday evening. Palestinian security tighten the measure in order to ban any infiltrating tries.
He explained that these measures are taken after a security meeting held between the leaders of the security and military services on the southern border this evening.
He pointed that the national security forces raised the state of alert along the border, stressing that internal ministry will not allow any breach of the security situation on the border.
On Friday, 23 Egyptian soldiers were killed and others were wounded in attacks by ISIS organization in the Egyptian city of Rafah in northern Sinai, while the Egyptian army said 40 people were killed.
