Gaza, ALRAY - Well informed sources reported Monday that Egyptian authorities informed the Palestinian delegation that Rafah border will be opened daily after Eid al-Adha.


The sources revealed the details of the meetings between the Palestinian delegation which includes leaders of Hamas and the National Solidarity Committee which arrived Cairo last Friday. 


The source added that the Egyptian authorities told the Palestinian delegation that they will increase the electricity supplies to Gaza via Egyptian lines. 


It noted that there is preliminary approval to carry out 17 projects in Gaza, that target Health sector such as paying medicines and facilitate the travel of patient form and into Gaza. The projects also will work on solar energy projects, housing through constructing apartments and repairing houses, helping the poorest of the poor of the bad classes, and projects for fishermen.


Informed sources had revealed, the formation of an Egyptian-UAE committee, similar to the "Qatar Committee" to oversee dozens of development projects in the Gaza Strip.


The sources said "The value of these projects estimated at $15 million per month, and will be implemented in economic, housing, agricultural, infrastructure and environmental sectors.”


The sources pointed out that there is a study to purchase Israeli electricity directly from the occupation by Egyptian side without passing through the Palestinian Authority.


The sources described the meetings in Cairo as "very positive and there is great satisfaction", indicating that it will continue until the end of this week.


The sources also revealed that the Palestinian delegation will complete studying the security measures on the borders of the Gaza Strip, to implement a set of new security measures to secure the border between Egypt and Gaza.


A high-level delegation comprising Hamas leaders and members of the National and Islamic Takaful Committee headed to Cairo through the Rafah border crossing on Friday.


The delegation consists of 17 members, Salah al-Bardaweel and Rawhee Mushtaha represent Hamas movement, Ashraf Juma’ and Majed Abu Shamallah represents Dahalan wing and Khaled al-Batsh who represents Jihad movement.
