Stockholm, ALRAY – The Swedish activist Benjamin Ladra continues his path on foot in a journey he began a week ago from the city of Yutburi west of Sweden towards Palestine.

The activist began his solidarity trip to Palestine last Sunday saying that he "chose to start his journey this year coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration of 1917.

"The goal of this long journey, which is expected to last for almost a year, is to highlight the Palestinian cause, call for an end to the conflict and live in peace among all the conflicting parties by drawing the world's attention to this issue," Laddra told Sweden Radio.

He pointed out that the trip funding would be self-sufficient and he would seek assistance from the residents of the cities or villages he would pass.

Laddra is convinced with the Palestinian just cause that motivated him to go on his long journey and the call to end the suffering of a long-standing people, as well as the Palestinian flag on his back and a kufiya on his shoulders, and a strong will to meet the challenges of the road, to deliver the Palestinian voice to as many people as possible who he can meet during the way.

The Swedish activist earlier staged a hunger strike in the city of Yutbury last May in solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners who went on hunger strike in Israeli prisons at that time.
