West Bank, AL RAY - The Knesset's Ministerial Committee for Legislation is expected Sunday to approve a proposed bill to rebuild four evacuated settlements in the northern West Bank in 2005 under the disengagement plan that included the Gaza Strip.
Hebrew channel 7 reported that the proposal is backed with the majority of the Committees’ members; in addition, the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu gave the green light to pass the law that aiming to rebuild the four settlements.
The committee justified the disengagement process as a mean to create better political and security situation. It said that the impacts were negative and Gaza turned into a base for missiles and tunnels. Therefore, there is no longer a security need to evacuate the four settlements in the northern West Bank: Ganim, Kadim, Sanur.
