Gaza, Alray - A study revealed that “Israeli occupation authorities collect 40 million shekels ($ 11 million) annually from the Palestinians for issuing of magnetic cards, a preliminary and mandatory procedure to granting them work permits to access (Israel).”
Institute for Applied Research "ARIJ" in Bethlehem in the study said Saturday “a Palestinian citizen pays a 100 NIS fee for a magnetic card,”
The study showed that “Palestinian workers have to a permit fee to be able to work inside Palestine’s 1948 occupied territories,” noting that “there are an estimated 100 thousand Palestinians working in the occupied territories and the Israeli settlements.”
