Over 100 Israeli settlers break into al-Aqsa Mosque

Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY - Scores of Israeli illegitimate settlers broke on Wednesday early in the early into the courtyards of the al-Aqsa Mosque Compound via the Mughrabi gate under heavy military protection by Israeli occupation forces that detained one of the mosque’s guards.


Jerusalemite sources reported that more than 100 settlers stormed the courtyards of the mosque in groups, carried out provocative tours, and received explanation on the alleged “Temple Mount”.


The sources added that the Israeli occupation forces have widely spread in the vicinity of the mosque and at its gates s during its storming by the settlers.


They indicated that the forces detained Muhanad Idris, who works as a guard at the al-Aqsa Mosque.


The sources pointed out that worshipers, educational students, and guards of the compound who were present there defended it by chants and Takbeer (saying Allah Akbar), and hampered the settlers from roaming it freely.


The al-Aqsa Mosque Compound exposes on a daily basis to the storming of the Israeli settlers, at which they perform Talmudic rituals and discrete its sanctity, as part of devoting the temporal and special division of the mosque, and Judaizing the occupied Palestinian city of Jerusalem.
