Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY - US embassy in Jerusalem started building a wall surrounded the building of its new quarter with a height of 6 meters, Haaretz paper reported Thursday.
It is agreed previously to build a wall with a height of 3.2 meters, but recently it is allowed to build the wall with a height of 5.8 meters.
Israelis living in the same neighborhood complained that the height of the wall cover the scene of nature, depriving them from enjoying the sight, the paper reported.
It noted that the Israelis near the building of the embassy sent a letter to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as to US Ambassador David Friedman, demanding them to retreat from this step.
Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon has already signed an order to raise the US embassy wall, citing security reasons, as part of the implementation of pre-approved emergency instructions, including the construction of a private street.
