Occupied WB, ALRAY - Israeli occupation forces (IOF) waged at daybreak of Wednesday a wide-scale campaign of raids and arrests across multiple districts of the occupied West Bank towns and cities.
The IOF claimed in its statement that its forces detained 14 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank on the pretext that they are “wanted”; they were transferred into interrogation centers.
In Qalqilya, north of the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces detained a Palestinian youth while passing across an Israeli military checkpoint placed at the eastern entrance of the city.
Local sources reported that the IOF shut the eastern entrance of the city, embarked on ransacking Palestinian vehicles, and detained youth Muhammad Houtari.
The sources added that the IOF forces stationed at the checkpoint held the vehicles for a period of time before having them released.
As of the city Hebron, the IOF detained a number of citizens and ex-prisoners, after breaking into the town of Dura, southwest of city.
Local sources reported that the IOF detained ex-prisoners Issam Al Masharqa and Hamza Abu Ahleel.
The sources added that the IOF detained youth Alaa Alawawdeh after being summoned to appear before its intelligence.
Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
