Israeli forces detain 17 Palestinians in raids to WB

Occupied WB, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) waged on Monday at daybreak a wide-scale campaign of raids and arrests across multiple districts of the occupied West Bank towns and cities, during which the IOF forces detained 17 Palestinians.

Local sources reported that the IOF detained from the city of Hebron Maher al-shareef, Hazem Abu Sbeih, Ahmed al-Masalmeh, Qasem al-Masalmeh, and Muhammad Zamaara, as well as raided on the houses of the ex-prisoners Marouf Abu Farah and Bilal Abu Sneineh.

The sources added that the IOF detained the ex-prisoners Omar Sari from the town of Anabta, east of Talkarem, and Sheikh Zaid Sarhan from al-Fari'ah refugee camp, south of Tubas.

In the city of Nablus, the sources said that the IOF forces detained youth Abdul Hafeez Shehadeh from the village of Urif to the south of the city.

Locals in the town of Azzun, east of the city of Qalqilya, said also that the IOF broke into the town and extensively fired stun grenades towards Palestinian houses.

As of the city of Ramallah, the sources reported that the IOF detained youth Hazem Abu Khalifa as well as Muhammad Shawamira.

Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
