Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY- Israeli occupation forces ordered on Monday the Jerusalemite Alaa Barqan to demolish his house, in Al-Mukaber mount southern occupied Jerusalem, himself as well as the house of Mohammed Ja'abees, under the pretext of unlicensed building.
The Jerusalimate Alaa Barqan said that Jerusalem district court issued on Monday a decision to demolish his house, explaining that after four years of struggle with Jerusalem municipality to ban the demolishing order, he is forced to demolish his own house himself to avoid paying tens of thousands of shekels as a fine.
He noted that Israeli municipality fined him an amount of NIS 70.000 in 2017, and he still paying, however this does not nullify the decision to demolish.
Barqan lived in his house that located near Amirican street in Al-Mukaber mount for four years, he managed to postpone the order of demolishing by paying for the court, however it did not work.
The total area of his house in 130 square meters, that consists of 3 rooms, a hall, a kitchen, and two bathrooms. Alaa lives in it with his wife and 4 children, the oldest of whom is 15 and a half years old, and the youngest is 9 years old.
" when I informed of the demolishing order, I immediately called my friends to help me in evicting the furniture and started to demolish it without knowing where I will live with my family," Barqaan said.
IOF also forced the Jerusalemite Mohammed Ja'abees to demolish his house in Al-Mukaber mount, the number of Palestinian houses that demolished in the area reached five houses.
Ja'abees explained that Israeli police refused to give him few days to demolish the house, and insisted on demolishing it within two days.
" I forced to demolish my home myself, unless I will pay a fine of NIS 70.000 to Israeli municipality," Ja'abees explained.
He explained that he lived in his new house just for three days before being demolished. He noted that he resorted to build the house before six months because his father house has no enough space to live in with his family, noting that he payed an amount of NIS15.000 to the lawyer to ban the demolishing order but in vain.
The area of the house is 93 square meters, that consists of 3 rooms, a hall, a kitchen, and a bathroom, in which his wife and five children live, the eldest is 13 years old and the youngest is 3 and a half years.
Local sources reported that the Jerusalimate Naim Saleh is due to demolish on Tuesday part of his house that located in Beit Hanina, north of occupied Jerusalem, after he received an administrative demolition decision.
