Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY - An Israeli military court on Tuesday sentenced 39-year-old Palestinian-American activist Ubai Al-Aboudi to 12 months imprisonment and imposed a fine of NIS 2,500 (roughly $700) on him.

Asra Media Office pointed out that Israeli forces along with intelligence officers broke into the house of Al-Aboudi on November 13, 2019, frightened children, wreaked havoc on the contents of the house, and detained him.

The office added that the forces took Al-Aboudi for interrogation at al-Maskubiya detention center, indicating that he was administratively detained for four months just after four days of his detention allegedly for having a secret file against him.

The office also added that the Israeli intelligence prepared an indictment against Al-Aboudi after spending two months in administrative detention and issued a sentence of 12 months in prison against him on Tuesday.

Al-Aboudi is a resident of Kafr Aqab town in occupied Jerusalem. He’s married and has three children, as he’s the director of the Bisan Center for Research and Development in Ramallah.
