West Bank, ALRAY - Yossi Cohen ,the current Director of Mossad, is to hold talks with officials of Arab countries, including Egypt and Jordan, on the annexation plan, Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation Kan reported on Monday.
Kan reported that the talks seeks to realize the vision of Arab countries regarding annexing plan, which is part of Trump peace vision, and to ease its expected reactions.
It noted that Cohen enjoys good relations with the international world and with middle east countries.
"Both the Director of Mossad and the Chief of the General Staff realize will that imposing Israeli sovereignty will provoke escalation in the Palestinian territories, however, director of Mossad reviews more optimistic assessments," Kan explained.
It is noteworthy that Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu met yesterday with Speaker of the Knesset Yariv Lavin, Minister of Israeli Army Benny Gantz, and Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi in the presence of US Ambassador David Friedman to discuss the issue of annexation.
This is the second meeting held in recent days with the aim of reaching an agreement between the Likud and Blue and White parties on the move of annexing the West Bank.US officials exert pressure on Netanyahu to have the consent of Benny Gantz and Gabi Ashkenazi before applying the annexation.
