Occupied WB, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday at dawn waged a wide-scale campaign of raids and detentions across several districts of the occupied West Bank towns and cities.

Local sources reported that the IOF detained five children from the city of Hebron, including a child.

The sources named the detainees as Ahmad al-Badawi, 18, Ahmad Adawi, 27, child Ahmad Imad al-Badawi, 14, Uday al-Khatib, 22, and Moath al- Qaysiah, 32.

The sources added that the IOF forces installed surveillance cameras at the entrance into Zif village, south of Hebron, set up military checkpoints at the towns’ entrances of Halhul and Sa'ir.

The sources continued that the IOF forces also set up military checkpoints at the southern and northern entrances of the city of Hebron, and stopped vehicles and ransacked them.

In addition, the IOF forces detained ex-prisoner Mahmoud Mardawi, after breaking into and ransacking the house of his family in the Arraba town in Jenin.

In Bethlehem, the IOF forces broke into the Aida refugee camp, north of the city, and detained Shadi Badawneh, 35, after raiding and ransacking his house.

Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
