Ramallah, ALRAY - The number of deaths from the new coronavirus pandemic in the occupied Palestinian territories has risen by one to 25, Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Thursday.
The ministry pointed out that the new death was recorded for a quinquagenarian citizen from the city of Qalqilya.
It indicated that further people have been confirmed positive for the virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of those diagnosed with the virus in the occupied Palestinian territories to 5567.
Of the latest statistics, it continued, about 23 coronavirus cases are described to be in serious condition; some of them are connected to ventilators.
At least 668 coronavirus patients, the ministry added, have showed full recovery, including 60 in the Gaza Strip.
There are about 12,127,494 confirmed cases worldwide and the death toll now tops 552,352 while over 7,057,066 people have recovered from the virus.
