Ramallah, ALRAY - The number of deaths from the new coronavirus pandemic in the occupied Palestinian territories has risen to 36, Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Saturday.
The ministry pointed out that the new death was recorded for a quinquagenarian woman from Hebron.
It indicated that further people have been confirmed positive for the virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of those diagnosed with the virus in the occupied Palestinian territories to 6,688.
Of the latest statistics, it continued, about 16 coronavirus cases are described to be in serious condition; some of them are connected to ventilators.
At least 710 coronavirus patients, the ministry added, have showed full recovery, including 63 in the Gaza Strip.
There are about 12,795,603 confirmed cases worldwide and the death toll now tops 567,683 while over 7,450,763 people have recovered from the virus.
