Occupied WB, ALRAY - Israeli repression forces on Monday night broke into the prison of Ofer, repressed the Palestinian prisoners held there and sprayed them with gas, said the Palestinian Prisoners' Society (PPS).
The PPS added that the prisoners have been exposed to repression by the Israeli forces for the second time since the dawn of the day.
It pointed out that the repression forces broke into section 16 of the prison at dawn of Tuesday, which led the prisoners to launch protest steps, including Takbeer, saying Allah Akbar, and knocking doors.
The PPS held the Israel Prison Service the full responsibilities for the fate of the priosners at the Ofer prison, warning of repeating the scenario of repression conducted widely against the prisoners last year.
It indicated that in addition to the repressive measures of the Israel Prison Service, the prisoners are also confronting the risk of being infected with the coronavirus pandemic, as more jailers confirmed positive for the virus.
According to Palestinian figures, about 4,600 Palestinians, including 39 women and 170 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
At least 700 of the prisoners suffer from chronic illnesses and require regular medical care, 10 of them are suffering from different types of cancer.
