Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY - Two Palestinian families from the occupied city of Jerusalem on Tuesday were forced by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) to self-demolish their homes.
Local sources reported that the IOF forced the two Palestinian families of Iyad Abu Sabeeh as well as Issa Oweisat to self-demolish their homes located in the towns of Silwan and Jabel Mukaber.
The sources added that the two families had resorted to demolish their one-storey homes after all legal means were exhausted.
They indicated that the two families were pushed to carry out the demolition order on their own so as to avoid the very high costs required for the Israeli occupation bulldozers.
In the same context, two Palestinian brothers named as Samer and Sulieman al-Qaq embarked on emptying the contents of their homes in preparation to carry out the demolition order.
The area of occupied Jerusalem has been subjected to massive demolitions by the Israeli occupation for the purpose of expelling Palestinians out of their lands and Judaizing the city.
