Ramallah, ALRAY - The number of deaths resulted from the coronavirus pandemic in the occupied Palestinian territories raised by two during the past 24 hours to reach 89, Palestinian Ministry of Health announced late Tuesday.
The ministry pointed out that the two deaths were reported for a sexagenarian and quinquagenarian citizens from the Hebron’s towns of Beit Ula and Beit Awwa.
It indicated that at least 229 citizens were tested positive with the new coronavirus, after carrying out over 3200 coronavirus tests, bringing the total number of those diagnosed with the virus in the occupied Palestinian territories to 16628.
Of the latest statistics, it continued, about 11 coronavirus cases are described to be in serious condition; two of them are connected to ventilators.
At least 7929 coronavirus patients, the ministry added, have showed full recovery, including 70 in the Gaza Strip.
There are about 18,661,116 confirmed cases worldwide and the death toll now tops 704,571 while over 11,871,756 people have recovered from the virus.
