Occupied WB, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday at dawn detained six Palestinian citizens during multiple raids targeted several districts across the occupied West Bank towns and cities.
Local sources reported that the IOF forces broke into the city of Ramallah and detained three people and took them to an unknown destiny, after raiding on and ransacking the houses of their families.
The sources identified the detainees as Mohammad al-Khawaja, Ahmad Afana and Mohammad al-Rum.
They added that confrontations erupted between scores of Palestinian youths and the IOF forces, during which the occupation forces fired tear gas and sound grenades towards the youths.
In the same context, the IOF forces set up today morning a military checkpoint to the east of al-Mughayyir village in the northeastern city of Ramallah and held back the citizens’ vehicles passing through the area.
In addition, the IOF forces detained Anas Shaheen from Hebron, Naseem al-Ja’dah from Nablus and Tareq al-Jammal from Jenin.
Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
