Coronavirus in Gaza: Over 738 cases of COVID-19, seven deaths reported in 24 hours

Gaza, ALRAY – Seven more Palestinian corona patients died in the blockaded Gaza Strip due to the virus-related complications, and over 738 tested positive for the virus in the latest 24 hours, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.


The ministry indicated, in its report on Sunday, that at least 738 new coronavirus cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, after conducting 2,589 corona tests, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 19,898.


Of the latest statistics, the ministry said that over 10,868 corona patients have fully recovered from the virus, compared to 8,933 which is the number of the current active cases, whereas the death toll in the strip rose to 97, after seven new fatalities in the last 24 hours.


It went on to say that over 342 corona patients are still hospitalized, of them about 108 cases are describe to be in critical condition.


The total number of the coronavirus cases in the occupied Palestinian territories has risen to 94,861. The virus-related deaths have reached 791.


There are about 62,634,907 confirmed cases worldwide and the death toll now tops 1,459,328 while over 43,241,540 people have recovered from the virus.
