Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY –Cancer-stricken Palestinian ex-detainee Mohammed Salahuddin, a 20-year-old resident of Hazma town in occupied Jerusalem, died on Monday, Palestinian Prisoners Club has said.
In a press statement, the Club pointed out that the cancer-stricken ex-detainee Salahuddin died due to medical negligence which he was being exposed to inside Israeli prisons.
The Israeli occupation authorities released Salahuddin on 21 August last year.
Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
According to Palestinian figures, over 4,500 Palestinians, including 40 women and 170 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
At least 700 of the prisoners suffer from chronic illnesses and require regular medical care, 10 of them are suffering from different types of cancer.
