Occupied WB, ALRAY - Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained Thursday 14 Palestinian citizens, including a parliamentarian, during a pre-dawn raid in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that Israeli occupation soldiers broke into Hebron and detained member of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) Mohammed Bader after storming his home.
During the raid, Israeli occupation troops, in addition, detained ex-detainee Arafat al-Qawasmi, Mohannd al-Tawil, Ahmad Taraira, Sabri Al-Khadour, Ismail Zaqiq.
In Ramallah and Al-Bireh, the IOF forces detained Alaa al-Barghouthi, Mohi al-Barghouthi, Jamil Daraghmeh, Nasim al-Barghouthi, and Amal Nakhleh.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation troops detained Mohammed Nazzal and Hussein Baajawi from Jenin, in addition to Ahmad al-Mimi during a separate raid in Jericho.
Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
According to Palestinian figures, over 4,500 Palestinians, including 40 women and 170 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
At least 700 of the prisoners suffer from chronic illnesses and require regular medical care, 10 of them are suffering from different types of cancer.
