Gaza, ALRAY - The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza reported on Tuesday five more deaths and 214 new Covid-19 cases after conducting 1,505 coronavirus tests over the past 24 hours.

The total number of the coronavirus cases that have been reported in the blockaded Gaza Strip since last March has jumped to 50,048, including 4,722 confirmed cases, the Ministry pointed out.

Since March, at least 44,813 Covid-19 cases have recovered, the Ministry continued, adding that the death toll has risen to 513.

The number of cases hospitalized due to the virus-related complications has reached 103, of them about 52 are described to be in critical condition, the ministry concluded.
