Occupied WB, ALRAY - Israeli occupation on Sunday decided to make an appeal for the so-called High Court to postpone the evacuation of the Palestinian Bedouin village of Khan al-Ahmar for more six months.
This decision comes after the Israeli occupation had evaluated the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. It was mainly based on the recommendation of the Israeli Security Agency of not evacuating the village at present.
Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that deliberations on this decision have taken place in recent days, adding that the Israeli Security Agency recommended of not evacuating the Khan al-Ahmar village currently.
It added that communications with the residents of the village are going on to convince them to move to another place.
The Khan al-Ahmar village is located between two major Israeli settlements, Maale Adumim and Kfar Adumim. The Israeli occupation wants to expand the two in order to build a ring of settlements around East Jerusalem.
